Perfection Unit
The
Perfection Residential Treatment Unit for females ages 13-17 is a specialized treatment
program for adolescent females who have a history of sexual issues,
substance/alcohol abuse, high-risk behavior, self-injury and/or violent
behavior, in addition to general behavioral/ psychiatric problems that
require the youth to be placed in a secure and safe environment because she
cannot be maintained safely in the community.
The program is designed to treat residents using a combination of
cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),
trauma focused cognitive behavioral treatment (TF-CBT), psycho-education and
insight-oriented psychodynamic therapy. This program admits youth based on
three principles: 1) risk of harm to self or others, 2) need for the special

principle that the treatment and interventions match the needs and
characteristics of the youth.
